Karl Pauls

Karl is responsible for organizing drug safety reporting within the studies and acts as senior medical consultant for internal and external stakeholders.

As Director of Pharmacovigilance Karl Pauls is responsible for organizing drug safety reporting within the studies conducted by ZEG Berlin. He also acts as a senior medical consultant for internal and external stakeholders across ZEG Berlin’s entire project portfolio. As a subject matter expert, he assists with the development of protocols, safety management plans and regulatory requests. Prior to his role as Director of Pharmacovigilance, Karl oversaw two of ZEG Berlin’s studies as part of the Project Management team.

Karl studied medicine at Charité, Universitätsmedizin Berlin, graduated and received his medical degree in December 2013. In November 2021 he completed his Master in Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Karl also teaches sexual medicine at Charite University Hospital’s Institute of Sexology and Sexual Medicine and regularly sees patients in this field of work.
