Simone Ariane Ahrens-Mende

Simone Ahrens-Mende is Director Data Management at ZEG Berlin since September 2025 and has more than 25 years of experience in clinical research, with a strong focus on Clinical Data Management, Biometrics and eClinical Systems. She has held senior leadership roles in CRO environments and brings broad expertise across Phase I–IV studies, including observational and post-marketing studies. 

Her professional background includes the design and optimization of data management processes, implementation and validation of eClinical systems, application of CDISC standards, and close collaboration with biostatistics, clinical operations and sponsors. In addition to her role in Data Management, Simone contributes to business development activities and coaches team members with a strong emphasis on conscious leadership and effective collaboration.
